The “Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY” app version 2.7.0 or later for Android will not support the NFC function with select PIXMA models. All other functions, such as printing and scanning, continue to be available. When printing or scanning with version 2.7.0 without a wireless router, first set the printer to “Wireless Direct” and then follow the messages displayed on the ”Canon PRINT inkjet/SELPHY” app.
The “Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY app” version 2.7.0 for Android is scheduled to be released on Thursday, July 30, 2020.
Please note that after the “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY” app for Android is updated to Ver. 2.7.0, it will not be possible to install a previous version of the app.
