Details
Each of the foregoing models with Security Kits was certified under IEEE 2600.1 as IT secure by the Japan Information Technology Security Evaluation & Certification Scheme ("JISEC"). However the status was changed to "suspended" as of May 7, 2014, and it will continue as such until a reassessment is completed. Canon anticipates that the reassessment will be completed in September 2014 and hopes to resume certification under IEEE 2600.1 at that time for the above models with Security Kits. Please note that the devices with which the foregoing security kits are used continue to function without issue, and the affected models in the field have been addressed to ensure security going forward. We encourage existing customers to review the security settings of their devices to ensure they were not modified prior to the field remedy.
Please refer to following URL for more detail about JISEC: http://www.ipa.go.jp/security/jisec/jisec_e/index.html
