Firmware Notice: RF100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM: Firmware Version 1.0.9
Firmware Version 1.0.9 incorporates the following fix and enhancement:
1. Adds a digital full-time manual focus function (a function that enables constant manual focus adjustment in both One-shot AF and Servo AF).
2．Improves a phenomenon in which the background is not blurred when performing slow panning with the IS (Image Stabilization) mode set to Mode 2 or Mode 3.
Firmware Version 1.0.9 is for lenses with firmware up to Version 1.0.7 If the lens' firmware is already Version 1.0.9, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
