Medical: Canon offers the choice between three (3) Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans with varying levels of reimbursement, deductibles, coinsurances and/or copayments. California employees have an HMO option in addition to these PPO plans. Employees in Hawaii are offered a state-approved HMO plan.
Dental: Canon offers a comprehensive dental PPO.
Vision: Canon offers coverage for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses for all employees and their family members covered under any PPO medical plan.
Tax-Advantaged Accounts: Canon employees have the opportunity to direct a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis towards accounts to pay for certain health care and/or dependent care expenses. These plans include health care flexible spending account (FSA), a combination FSA, a dependent care FSA and a health savings account (HSA).
Life Insurance: Employees are provided with company-paid Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. They also have the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouses and their children.
Disability: Canon offers short-term and long-term disability benefits to protect employees while they cannot work due to a non-work-related injury or illness.
Voluntary Benefit Plans:
- Accident Insurance - Protection from unexpected financial stress if an employee or a covered family member has an accident.
- Critical Illness Insurance - A supplemental plan that provides a lump-sum cash payment upon diagnosis of certain illnesses, such as heart attack, cancer or stroke.
- Hospital Indemnity Insurance: A comprehensive plan which provides lump sum cash payments for covered events regardless of any other payment you or your family members may receive from your medical plan when an accident or illness puts you in the hospital.
- Pet Insurance: Pet Insurance provides coverage to help you pay for veterinary expenses for cats, dogs, birds, and exotic animals (such as turtles, snakes, and rabbits).
Personal Health Consultant: Through Canon’s PPO medical plans, employees and their families are eligible to consult with a dedicated nurse, known as a personal health consultant, who can help with medical-related issues. Examples include chronic conditions, surgery preparation, and weight loss.
Telehealth: Through our PPO medical plans, telehealth allows employees to speak to a doctor via audio or video call through their mobile device or webcam 24/7.
