Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II with multi-touch operation and Touch AF
The EOS Rebel T5i comes with a Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II. Using capacitive technology similar to today's popular mobile devices, this screen is touch-sensitive and delivers intuitive touch panel operation. Two-finger touch gestures can be used for zooming or changing images. Menu and quick control settings can be accessed, and focus point and shutter release can be activated with the touch of a fingertip using Touch AF. Displaying fine detail (at approximately 1.04 million dots), this screen is perfect for composing and reviewing images. Thanks to a solid construction between the monitor's resin-coated cover and the liquid crystal display, reflections are minimized, and the display can be viewed, without glare, from any number of angles. The LCD's surface is treated with a smudge-resistant coating to minimize fingerprints and maintain a bright, clear image display.
More than I thought that it was.
Worked as described which was Awesome.Took my hobby and shifted from second to fourth gear without any problems. That was stupid to say.Nah it 's a great camera and I'm still in the learning process of all of its capabilities.I am kinda scared to do to much with it because it was not cheap. The more I use it, the more the nervousness disappears. So much value in a little piece of black plastic. If you want a good camera don't buy this one because it is a better than (great) camera. You can laugh now,Ha hA. It is a great camera,More and better than I had expected.

Solid for everyday use
Only knock is its a T4i just updated name... other than that I was able to get the 2 lens kit and i cannot complain. unless you are a professional this is a lot of camera for me too. I love the touch screen and size of this camera. I also have a T2i that I like as well. Canon is solid in all aspects. I don't have anything bad to say about the quality and variety of canon and aftermarket lens and accessories.

I bought this as a replacement for my EOS XTi that I had for years. The new processor is far superior and the video function will be helpful for the research I will be doing at the university.
MY review of the functions are fairly bias because much of the settings and controls are similar to the XTi I was using. If you are not someone who knows a lot about photography, the program and full auto modes will help you a long a great deal. I take a lot of low-light photos so the EF-S IS lens will be helpful as well because I only ever had the EF lenses without the stabilization built in.
So far I love it! I wanted to buy the 60D but could not afford it and this is more than just a consolation, it was a great purchase.
The Rebel series of the EOS line is good for people like me who have a lot of stuff and not a lot of space, they're a little smaller than the professional "d" series and full frame cameras, it makes it easier to carry and easier to fit into a crime scene kit without sacrificing quality.
