New 10 Ink System
10 Inks Expand Your Color Possibilities
The 10 LUCIA Pigment Ink System expands the color gamut with improved saturation of colors and darker, deeper blacks. This system allows the professional photographer to achieve new levels of skin tone reproduction, accuracy and quality, so your prints exhibit stunning detail. The 10 LUCIA Pigment Inks also assist in reproducing the vibrant colors of life captured by Canon’s well respected EOS Digital SLR cameras.
The three Monochrome inks consist of Photo Black, Matte Black, and Gray. These select inks deliver enhanced, deep black density to raise your level of professional print quality when creating the dramatic expression of grayscale photography. The LUCIA five monochrome inks work together to reduce the effect of bronzing. As a result, your printed photos will have expanded dynamic range, especially in the darker or shadow areas of the image.
As part of the 10 Ink System, the three monochrome inks also allow you to reproduce smooth, delicate, and natural tonal gradations in grayscale and color imagery accordingly from highlights to shadows.
Chroma Optimizer
The Chroma Optimizer is a critical element to attaining professional print quality with accurate color and reduced metamerism on coated papers. The Chroma Optimizer reduces the difference in ink droplet height to form a flat and smooth ink layer. The result is evenly reflected light, deep blacks, and bright, saturated colors.
FINE Technology
Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering(FINE) features a patented print head that enables printing with microscopic droplets and high resolution up to 4800 x 2400 dpi.*
- Ink droplets can be placed with a pitch of 1/4800 inch at minimum. Results may vary depending on printer driver settings.
OIG System
The Key to Achieving Accurate Prints
The Optimum Image Generating (OIG) System utilizes two major technologies implemented in the PIXMA PRO-10 Wireless Professional Inkjet Printer.
The first is a sophisticated mixing balance of inks determined from numerous ink combinations and advanced analysis. During this analysis, the OIG System carefully calculates the best results for each print mode and paper type used while looking at various image factors including color reproduction, tonal gradations, black density, low graininess, glossiness, anti-bronzing and anti-metamerism.
These critical ink balancing principles are derived from Canon’s expertise in imaging technology, as well as the familiar colors of life that people see and remember on a daily basis.
The second is the precise placement of ink droplets that is significant for the ideal print results.
Media Compatibility
Expanded Print Versatility
The PIXMA PRO-10 proudly supports professional photo printing on a variety of Fine Art and Glossy Photo Papers. Its two-way paper feeding provides a rear tray for most supported media types, and a dedicated manual feed in the back of the printer for easy loading of thicker papers.
Wireless* and Wired Networking
The built-in Wireless and Ethernet networking capability allows multiple users to seamlessly print from several networked computers and even mobile devices.
- Wireless printing requires a working Ethernet network with wireless 802.11b/g or n capability. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between the printer and wireless network clients
Fast Print Speed
The FINE Print Technology in the PIXMA PRO-10 produces fast print speed for both color and grayscale photographs.
- Photo print speeds are based on the standard mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. Print speed is measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage. Color Modes
PRO MODE
This mode helps to map the color gamut for optimum balance of brightness and saturation, based on the display. It also will help to adjust the color by reflecting the characteristics of human perception for better color adaptation and an equal hue plane.
ICC Profile
This setting faithfully prints to the characteristics of various media and the Picture Style of Portrait and Landscape. It also prints images in the Adobe® RGB (1998) color space through the use of Print Studio Pro. The color conversion used in the "Perceptual" rendering intent under the "Use ICC Profile" mode was improved in PIXMA PRO-10 and PRO-100 to create a print that is closer to its appearance in the monitor.
LINEAR TONE
This mode prints the image in its truest form.

This new powerful plug-in software provides professional photographers with quick and easy printing solution that can help them produce professional quality prints. Print Studio Pro is compatible with Canon Digital Photo Professional, Adobe® Photoshop®, Lightroom®, and Photoshop Elements®.
Tasks like print-size settings, printing multiple pages, and color management settings are now simplified to help maximize your workflow, while the original colors found in Canon EOS Digital SLRs are faithfully reproduced.

- Printer firmware update may be necessary for AirPrint function. Certain exceptions may apply. A PC running Windows XP or later or A Mac running OS 10.5.8 or later and USB cable required to perform firmware update. AirPrint functionality requires an iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, or iPod touch 3rd generation or later device running iOS 4.2 or later, and an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device. A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base station, or Time Capsule is not supported.
